A Sure Sign

A sure sign of a slow day is when the folks who happen to be  hanging around Afton Station get in a goofy mood, and just about anything can happen on days like that.
Our first visitor looked a little disheveled and had demented look in her eyes.   She barely moved a muscle the whole time she was there, and never changed her expression.  She had nice skin, though.  I don't know where she came from or where she was going, but clearly she had been traumatized by something.
She got into the back seat of the DeSoto and proceeded to stare at us all day.  She was probably freaked out by the bloody carcass on the front seat.   Told you it was a weird day.   But remember, we're getting dangerously close to Halloween, so anything could happen.

By the way, we had real guests too.   They came from Joplin MO, Grand Prairie TX, Idabell OK, Waterford MI, and Tuscany, Italy.  I was distracted enough to forget to take a photo of the two young couples from Tuscany.  Why would anyone want to travel anywhere if he or she lived in Tuscany, one of the most beautiful places in the world?   They were enjoying Route 66 nonetheless.

Here's the couple from Waterford, Michigan who were the last people through the door this afternoon.
We also had visits from Marly, Tattoo Man, Rann, and David.   Tomorrow, Rann will be working again in place of Robin, who needs one more vacation day.
