A short post on a hurried evening....
I think we have everything packed up to go to the Retro Sign and Memorabilia Show this weekend. Marly and Robin will be in charge of the booth tomorrow and Ron M. and I will take over on Saturday. This is the first show Afton Station has ever done, so we're very excited. It should be fun, and I'm sure the merchandise in the other booths will be tempting. Neon signs! Gas Station memorabilia! Postcards! I hope I don't have to go straight to the poorhouse when I leave there! If you're in the area, come out to the show. Buffalo Run Casino, Miami OK..... Fri. 2 to 9, Sat. 9 to 5.
Yesterday, Robin had 17 visitors, arriving from Mississippi, Kentucky, Missouri, and California as well as some local folks.
There were only 6 visitors today. These two are from New York City, and they expected me to be shocked by their accents, but after living back East for so long, I didn't even notice. These lucky folks are newly retired and have no time schedule, so they plan to do Route 66 at a leisurely pace.
Our other visitors today came from Plum Grove, Texas and Afton and Owasso, Oklahoma.News of Us: Tattoo Man is out of the hospital and resting at home. Phil is still in California tending to his sick father, with no idea when he'll be home. Betty was ill but is feeling much better now.
