Ron "Tattoo Man" Jones opened Afton Station today because our Route 66 friend Dries Bessel from Amsterdam and his wife and group were coming through on their big Route 66 trip, and my schedule didn't work out for me being there myself. I'm so glad he was able to do that, although I just called and Tattoo said Dries wasn't there yet. I could have driven up after dialysis, I guess, but I really needed a little rest time today, and there was no guarantee that I'd get up there in time to see him anyway. I'll be back at Afton Station tomorrow, of course.
Tattoo said we'd had 9 visitors so far, including several from other countries. Ohhh, I just hate it when I'm not there!
