Sidewalk Highway

Coincidentally, just yesterday I was complaining about the condition of the historic and iconic 9-foot highway that stretches between Afton and Miami.  Today, Rich Dinkela posted this video of that stretch of highway on Facebook.  He's the guy who traveled all of Route 66 in the past couple of weeks, painting shields on the highway wherever he went, including in front of Afton Station.  Rich's video takes you through Afton, past Afton Station, past the new monument we put up last fall, and onto the 9-foot highway.  His narration also explains the history of the road.   It's worth watching, especially if you've never driven that piece of Route 66 !
